Movie5 capabilities
  • Create a movie

Submit a render job and return immediately with a 16-character project ID. The render runs asynchronously and the video URL is not available yet — pair this with a Webhook URL or a later Get Status call. Each call consumes credits (1 credit per second of output video), so never retry it blindly.

  • Delete a movie

Delete the rendered video file of a movie before its automatic 7-day expiry. The render history entry is kept, so credits already spent are not refunded.

  • Get many movies

List the movies rendered by this account within a date range, one output item per movie

  • Get a movie status

Get the current status of one movie by project ID. Returns the video URL, duration in seconds and file size in bytes once the status is done.

  • Render a movie and wait

Submit a render job and poll until it finishes, then return the finished movie including the video URL, duration in seconds and file size in bytes. Holds the n8n execution open for the whole render, so use Create plus a Webhook URL for renders longer than the n8n execution limit.

Template8 capabilities
  • Create a template

Save a new template from a Movie JSON document with {{variable}} placeholders. Returns the new 20-character template ID.

  • Delete a template

Delete a template by ID. Renders already in flight are unaffected, but later renders referencing the ID fail.

  • Duplicate a template

Copy a template — your own or one from the public library — into this account and return the new 20-character template ID, optionally filling in variables

  • Get a template

Get one template by ID, including its stored Movie JSON. The movie field is returned exactly as stored, which may be a JSON string or a JSON object.

  • Get many library templates

List the curated public template gallery published by JSON2Video, one output item per template. Use Duplicate to copy one into this account before rendering it.

  • Get many templates

List this account's own templates, one output item per template, with their IDs, names and tags

  • Get template variables

List the variables a template declares — its {{placeholder}} inputs, as currently saved — one output item per variable, with its type, default and (for select and array/collection variables) its choices or sub-fields. Use this to discover a template's inputs at runtime instead of hard-coding them.

  • Update a template

Change the name, Movie JSON, tags or AI prompt of an existing template. Only the fields set are written; the rest are left unchanged.

Storage9 capabilities
  • Create a folder

Create a folder in the Drive, addressed by a path relative to the Drive root with no leading slash. Creating a folder that already exists succeeds and changes nothing.

  • Delete a file

Delete one file from the Drive by folder and file name. This frees the bytes it used and cannot be undone.

  • Delete a folder

Delete an empty folder. Folders that still contain files are refused by the API, as are the root folder and the temp folder.

  • Get a file

Get one file by its path relative to the Drive root, for example videos/clip.mp4. Returns its public URL, size in bytes and upload status.

  • Get the folder tree

List every folder in the Drive, one output item per folder, with its file count and total size in bytes

  • Get storage usage

Get how many bytes the Drive uses, the free allowance in bytes, and whether uploads are currently blocked

  • List a folder

List the files in one folder, one output item per file, optionally filtered by media type or by name

  • Move a file

Move a file to another folder, keeping its name. Moving into the temp folder marks the file temporary, so it is deleted automatically and stops counting towards the storage quota.

  • Upload a file

Upload binary data from a previous node into the Drive and return its public URL, ready to use as the src of a movie element. Maximum 500 MB per file.

Frequently asked
questions.

What could an Ambacti integration do with JSON2Video?

The documented operations include Movie: Create a movie; Movie: Delete a movie; Movie: Get many movies; Movie: Get a movie status.

Could I keep a workflow read-only?

For a read-only workflow, limit account permissions to reading data and exclude actions that create, update, or delete records.

Will every action run automatically?

Choose which steps could run on their own and which should pause for review. Changes should follow the permissions and approval rules you set.

Do I need to review actions in JSON2Video?

Decide which work could run on its own and which steps need your review.
