01 / The starting point

A clear request.
A useful direction.

A customer’s prompt, requested content type, and account details

“Create the requested text or image only when the customer has an active eligible plan and remaining allowance. Keep requests on hold when eligibility or usage cannot be confirmed.”
An example request · Make it specific to your team.

02 / The work

6 tasks.
One useful outcome.

Checks customer plan eligibility and current usage, prepares a text or image request when it is within the configured allowance, and records the completed usage.

  1. Collect the customer’s request

Gather the requested content type, prompt, and any optional details needed to shape the result.

  2. Confirm plan eligibility

Check that the customer has an active plan that permits the requested kind of generation.

  3. Check the remaining allowance

Compare current-period usage with the allowance set for the customer’s plan before creating content.

  4. Prepare eligible content

Send eligible text or image requests to the configured generation service and return the resulting content.

  5. Record usage and report it

Record the completed request against the customer’s plan and provide updated usage information.

  6. Hold requests that cannot proceed

Do not generate when a plan is inactive, eligibility cannot be matched, or the configured allowance has been reached.

The handoff

Generated content for eligible requests, with usage recorded and remaining allowance reported. Ineligible or over-limit requests receive no generated result.

Keep in mind

Generation is not started when an account has no active eligible plan or has reached its configured limit. Plan rules and usage records should be checked by the people responsible for billing.

04 / Make it yours

Set the brief.
Set the standard.

A few choices shape the work around your team.

Define plan eligibility and allowances

Map each eligible plan to its monthly generation allowance and decide which request types it covers.

Choose text and image generation services

Select the services your team has approved for producing the content types you offer.

Decide how usage is tracked

Confirm which completed requests count toward usage and how customers see their current allowance.

Test plan and limit outcomes

Check an eligible request, an inactive account, an unrecognized account, and an account at its limit before offering the service.
